Check Mate
My fiancé has always had a dream of a Sherlock Holmes type chess table set up in front of a fireplace at our house. So as we started to rearrange the house, we decide to start making that dream come true. We searched for the perfect table. One Saturday we came across a hexagon shaped table. He loved it so we scooped it up. We looked at the Annie Sloan options and decided what would go in our downstairs living room. We settled on Graphite and Duck Egg Blue with a dark wax on top. We kept the original hardware. I painted the base and Clayton taped off and painted the chess squares. And now on snowy days in CO we can sit by the fire and play chess.
